During the process of trying to install Joomla 1.5.x .. like many other people, continued to get the error:

To solve this Error Just

Installing without the configuration.php

or with Blank configuration.php ( open the file and delete every thing inside )

Ps:- don't forgot to give configuration.php file chmod to 777
