Auto show Cars unveiled at the Auto Expo 2012

Car launches: Here are top-drawer cars unveiled on Thursday at the 11th Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi.
Maruti Suzuki unveiled its SUV XA Alpha car at India's Auto Expo in New Delhi. Shinzo Nakanishi, chief executive and managing director of Maruti Suzuki poses with company's new compact car. The car is aimed at both on and off road usage. Since this is a concept, things will change. It will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version is expected to have a 1.3 litre engine.

The company also showcased a new version of Sonata priced in the range of Rs.16-17 lakh which is expected to be launched by February-end. The sedan is powered by a 2.4 litre GDI (gasoline direct injection) petrol engine.
Nissan India Private Limited (NIMPL) has unveiled their MPV, the Nissan Evalia at the Auto Expo 2012 in Delhi. Known world-wide as the NV200, the Evalia is Nissan's answer to Mahindra's Xylo and Toyota's Innova. The Evalia is a seven seater. Sliding doors and three forward facing seat rows with the first and last being individual seats. Pricing is yet to be declared for the Evalia. This MPV will be built at Nissan's Oragadam plant in Chennai towards the latter half of 2012. Pricing is yet to be declared.
